Pleae advise on how to set the gears when I replace the tensioner and new timing belt on a 1995 Volvo 940. The old tensioner seized up and the belt clame off, destroying the plastic covers. I need to know the correct proceedured for getting the gears right when I replace the belt. Thanks

 

You really need to buy a new cover because the marks are on the cover.

 

see if you can find cover on www.car-part.com I got one there for my daughters rav4 found a place that had one close to the house (you can sort by distance)
