Default Volvo 940 Turbo Air Box - Clips Missing

I am yet another 940 Turbo owner with an air box shedding the clips which hold the lid on. It seems the consensus is to buy a new one because anything secondhand seems to have the same problem. Could anybody direct me to a reasonably priced source? (A link would be helpful as I have drawn several blanks following the usual signposts).
With thanks in anticipation.

Hmmm...My best advice would be to check w/ Volvo. Most likely. by now, they are NLA. I know of no aftermarket source. Generally, the failure is in the mount where the bottom of the clip is secured to the box. All of the older air boxes can have the issue to some extent. I've had good luck buying them on eBay. I've also had to resort to using some JB Weld to sculpt a new clip holder in one instance. Good luck!

Default Plastic Welding

Hey swiftjustice. Many thanks your thoughts. My first port of call was Volvo New Zealand.. I seem to recall them talking about $700. Not sure if that was for the lid as well but that number scared me into looking elsewhere.

Thanks for that piece of plastic welding advice. Yes it has been a thought of my own. My vehicle maintenance philosophy is always "original and better than it was before" and so the bodge job was always going to be last resort.

There is an airbox on ebay but with a missing clip. In keeping with the "original" philosophy I would prefer to get my own welded.
