Default Weird grinding/dragging sound in first gear

Hey y’all first post in this forum and I have an issue maybe y’all have heard about
i just bought this ‘95 940 this about a week ago for cheap and I’ve been plugging away at years of neglect before me.
This weekend I did a ton of maintenance, including brakes, a transmission flush, and a center support bearing/bushing.
The transmission always had a sort of slight whine in first but now I’m noticing a very concerning noise when I come to a stop, or I am cruising around in first (like slowly through a parking lot, less than 10 mph, ect.)
the noise sounds like I’m dragging a chain on the ground and then a slight chirp every now and again.
It doesn't change drivability, I don’t feel the noises in the chassis or in the steering wheel.
At first I thought it could be brake related but I happens even when I’m not touching the brakes and doesn’t seem to change with the pedal.
I guess I could’ve gotten a bad carrier bearing, but I wanted to ask what y’all think it could be before I do that whole rigamarole again.

thanks in advance
gavo
