First off, I would like to say how thankful I am for all of the advice I have recieved so far.

And with that, my question of the day.


Rarely, when I start my car the 'check engine' light comes on and I have to press on the accelerator and give it a little gas to get the car started. If I do this the check engine light turns off, and the car starts fine. If I dont the car just doesnt start.

I would say this happens at least 1-2 a week, and I want to say that it happens more when it is cold outside, but I havent really tested that theory much.

Ideas? Thanks

 

Has the throttle body and idle motor been cleaned lately?

 

Dont think so, maybe I'll try to do that.
