i need help identifying the black plug to the right of my oilfilter
i broke the wire going into this plug while changing my alternator, the car runs fine and no check engine or service lights come on, im going to fix it i'd just like to know what it is, thanks!

Low Oil pressure sensor.

Important, but Not too important. Easy fix.

If you broke that wire the OIL light should be on...

I think the wire has to be shorted to ground to turn on. if its open, its probably off.

thats what i guessed, yeah no lights are on. ill solder it up tomorrow. thanks yall

dunno if you'll be able to solder to the broken oily terminal end without melting the plastic insulator and gumming up the oil sensor. I'd probably buy a new one, and replace it next time you're changing your oil.
