Anybody know what this is? I saw it under the rear seat of a 940 Turbo Wagon.

Looks like possibly the Radio Amp

does that sticker on the top give you any indication? codes, numbers, words etc...

Here's a close up. I don't think it's an amp, the cables go towards the rear of the car.

try early 80s, maybe even late 70s. AMPS analog cellphones don't even work anymore in the USA, all AMPS towers were shutdown and converted to digital years ago.

here's a pic of the rest of the system, cribbed from an auction site.

actually, hah, I'm somewhat wrong about the dates. Thats a MicroTAC DPC phone, they came out in 1989, and that model probably IS early 1990s.

Might have been easier to pull over and use a payphone!
