I have an '89 all stock 240 volvo and every time I go to start the car, the speedometer needle jumps from about the 0 to 80 mph. After the car has warmed up and been driven, and on the second and third starts of the day, the needle will not go over quite so far, but still in the 50 mph range just while cranking is happening. Once driving the speedometer works just fine. The PIMA odometer is inop despite new gears.
