When I turn key it clicks for a few seconds then starts

This just started happening to my '90 740 gle. I turn the ignition, it clicks for a few seconds, then finally the engine will start to try to turn over, then it does turn over. Is my starter going bad?

Try starting it first with a remote starter switch. If it starts with no problem, then the problem is probably in your ignition switch. If you have a problem, then it's most likely the solenoid on the starter.
