Default where is the fuse box???

My Volvo radio has gone down. Two weeks ago I tried to recharged the battery, but I inverted the cables (it was very early and I wasn't awaken so well..) then some smoke came. I stopped, got the car towed and a new battery. But since then the radio doesn't work. Maybe some fuses got toasted. But I am trying to find those fuses, but I can't find the fuse box!!! I don't know where the heck it is!!

on a 740, the fusebox is behind the ashtray. Take it out and pull off the cover. You have not specified what model your car is but if it is not in the driver's side kick panel then it might be there

Sorry, I thought I was in the forum for only the 240 model. So I have a Volvo 240 DL 1991.

If it's a 240, the fuse panel is in the driver's side outer kick panel right by the door opening.

There's a S40 section in this forum. In this section we know 240, 740 and 940 cars.
