Wiring advice
Hello guys...new to this site. I hope everyone is doing well.
I just picked up an 83 242 w the drivetrain from a 94 940 turbo....not running.
It has all the typical suspension goodies from IPD.The wiring harness has been hacked up a bunch and maybe a bit beyond my skill level.
Any advice on wiring?
Not too sure how to proceed.
I've had 240s for years but this one I want to play with a bit.
New harness altogether?
Aftermarket?
Mechanic?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Don't know what wiring harness that is in there but I would expect that in order to run the 940 turbo engine in a 240 you would need the engine wiring harness from the 940 along with the ECU and ignition computer. Not for the faint of heart. You might find more info over on turbobricks.com

a 94 turbo is a LH2.4 car, while yours was originally lh-II or something. the ECUs and ICUs are in different places, and everything.
I'd start with the wiring diagrams for both year/model cars, and slowly and methodically figure out what you have, and why its not working. advanced automotive electrical troubleshooting skills WILL be required, and if you have to pay someone shop rates to do this, it will be astronomical.
I would want it wired with as much stuff from the 940 as possible, but you won't be able to fit the 940's centralized relay/fuse panel into a 240, so you'll need to cobble the engine and ignition harnesses to your dash harness, messy messy messy.
