My girlfriend had cat put on 93 Volvo 940 (non-turbo), then went to a different shop bout a month later to replace muffler. The muffler shop told her that the previous shop put the wrong cat on, and put it on upside down!

When she took it back to the original shop, they told her that it was the right one, and that it could go on either way so there is no "upside down". Can someone tell me how I can verify which shop is telling the truth?

 

If it was an Aftermarket Cat then most of them will go either way.
Then some might only use OEM Cats thats why they might have said it was wrong.


Any way you can post a picture of it?
