1987 760 turbo wagon, Air Pump??
Hi,
I have a pump that is located above and behind my battery, next to the power steering reserve, that is making an almost constant loud humming. Which is only one problem, the other is I can not find the part anywhere. Even in my manual the picture of the 760 doesn't have this pump (nor chiltons), online searches for 'pump', 'air pump', 'vacuum pump' have been fruitless.
It is not attached by any bolts, only grooved rubber stoppers (3) that go into a mounting bracket with two hose connections.
The engine was replaced, but I've did searches for several years around mine, nada.
Any info would be appreciated, links to buy also.
Thanks,

RE: 1987 760 turbo wagon, Air Pump??
I'll get a picture and post back, might take awhile. The Cruise Control Vacuum Pump does seem likely, I can't find them anywhere. I have the part pulled out the maker is delco (probably Ac delco) so I can take a picture with my laptop's built-in cam (been working on the laptop today).
I'm going to check the Pull-It yard tomorrow.
Thanks,
drubs

Laptop cam still not working properly...
did find the part in the fourth volvo I checked out. 13.48 USD with a couple of other things thrown in.
They just called it a vacuum pump, but I didn't try out my cruise control with the old, but the new one doesn't rattle/whine at all. Came on for a second, then shut off, like making a seal. Also my fan on the climate control works, only defrost worked previously.
Thanks again,
Drubs
