Default 1989 760 A/C vacuum leak

hi, im 19 years old i own a 1989 volvo 760 intercooler ... however my a/c is not blowing through the vents almost sounds like i have leaf blower under my hood. my a/c is getting cold so cold that the line almost freezes over at times but no air flow is coming through the dash vents.. I've replaced the compressor, blower motor and two internal vacuum bellows pulled off another car from the junk yard .. also replaced solenoid vacuum control valve and checked vacuum lines for a leak but i cannot find the vacuum leak at all .... i believe the vents are not opening and closing correctly and it also does this if i switch it over to heat but i can't seem to find the problem ..
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

Check the program controller unit under the dash that can be seen when you remove the glove box. The white metal disk that distributes the vacuum disintegrated on a car that only has 40,000 miles on it, and was stored for 17 years in a climate controlled garage.

This distributes the vacuum to the various vents. My freon was low, so the the compressor would not cycle, but I would have had cold air, and no where for it to go...

Just a thought.

This is one of the weaknesses of the 760/960 line, the climate control:

its not either , its a vacuum leak because i can hear the hissing behind the dash .. one of my vacuum lines is prob dry rotted due to the fact that my car sat in a parking lot in georgia heat for 10 +years ... I know the bellows work on vacuum supply created by the engine vacuum by the intake manifold but I'm not getting enough vacuum to the bellows to open the vents all the way so the vents are in their default position

- P.S> : im a girl !

Keri:

When my disk disintegrated, it caused a vacuum leak. My hoses were all plastic, possibly silicone, and can't dry rot. Each one had a different color, and if I pinched off the main vacuum line from the manifold, and shut down the vacuum, the hiss would go away.

If you got into the boost, the hiss would also go away, because this would drop the internal vacuum of the manifold. It's a quick test.

Congratulations on the fact that you are girl.

Good luck!
