I just recently got a 1992 960 and the dash speakers work fine, but none of the door speakers work. Does anyone have any experience with this problem or any ideas what may be causing it? If I need to replace the speakers how do I get them out, I'm used to phillips head screws ohlding speakers in and this is not the case. Thanks for any help in advance.

 

If the speakers are anything like my 760's were then you need to drill the rivets out and they should come right out.

 

You need to slide the radio out and see if you have an Amp.
If you do it might be a problem with the Amp.

I think the dash speakers are off the Radio and all the other are off the Amp.

 

Yeah there is an amp. Where is it located and what should I be checking for?

 

It should be under the drivers side of the dash. To find it for sure look and find the DIN cable.
Try to see if you have signal out of the Amp.

 

How do I go about doing that?

 

You can tap into the speaker wires at the amp and test with a known good speaker.

The wires coming out of the Amp will match in color. There will be 2 wires one color.
