Default 1996 960 front crankshaft seal ??

I've got a 960 that I'm having repeated front seal problems. It would appear that the housing bore located in the front of the oil pump is larger than its supposed to be. Ive replaced the seal it with two aftermarket seals and the most recent OE Volvo part. Everytime the seal works it way forward in its housing bore until it makes contact with the back of the timing belt cog. The back of the cog chews the front off the seal case and it starts leaking. The process seems to take about eight months and it starts leaking again. This last time I noticed that I could just push the seal into the housing without much resistence, so I put some loctite blue on the seal's O.D. Hopefully this will help retain it better.

Any Ideas?

Anyone else run into this??
