After the car has been parked for a day or two. The moment I insert the ignition key and try to start the engine. (at first lights do come on). It goes complete blank, as though battery is disconnected.

It goes away after few minuets, and the car stats normal.

Can anyone please advise what could be the cause of this intermittent ignition problem.

Ignition switch, common problem.

 

In fact I do have problem with the Ignition switch (replaced it once). Many times I need to wiggle it to make connection to the system. and move the gear.
