How hard is it to change the pan gasket on a 1996 960 wagon . I had a oil leak for some time and want to fix the leak . It appears to be leaking from the oil pan . It may as well be leaking from the Rear main seal too . I hope its just the pan gasket . Im seeing that it has rtv sealant on the oil pan and not a gasket . My wife will be driving this car to and from work . Im driving a 1997 Chevy Blazer 4x4 truck . I also found a fuel leak too and am changing the filter too . Mine is rusted I got a fram that I never replaced Im afraid of striping the line nuts so I need to goto sears from a set of flare nut wrenches . If some knows the flare nut size too please post it for me . Any help you can give me would help .

 

My guess, based on 3 different 960s with a RMS leak, is it is the RMS, not the pan. But anything is possible.
