Default 740 engine to 760

Hello everyone. I've owned a Volvo for a few weeks and am lost. I was given a beautiful 1989 Volvo 760 with a bad motor, no head and no hoses for any of the turbo. It overheated and busted the number one piston. Maybe the timing belt broke. I couldn't find a b230ft so i got a b230f out of a 1987 740 that had a BAD wiring issue. My 89 wires are perfect.Looking at the block I thought that it would be an easy swap. I didn't change anything in the electrical harness and plugged everything right in to the new motor. I have an extra plug on top passenger side that I think is from the o2 sensor and an extra three prong plug near the battery. I don't have the mass air flow attached yet because I wanted to just start the motor.I put the exhaust manifold from the 740 on also. I didn't change what looks like a flywheel position sensor( I couldn't find the plug on the car) .I left the coolant temp.sensor and knock senor from the 87 on and plugged them in. It cranks over fine when I try to start it but no fuel goes to the rail. I turned the key to the on position and didn't hear the fuel pumps. I took the lower fuel pump off and tested it and it worked fine. No juice is getting to either fuel pump. I don't know if any ecm's or sensor's need to be swapped also. I've looked all over the internet and in these posts and am lost. I've printed some wiring diagram's on both cars and that just made my frustration worse. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You
Harry Fint
P.S. I have worked at a local auto parts house for three years and am ASE Parts certified but am still lost on this car. Thanks again

I'd look at the ECM for a start...
