87 760 turbo stalling out and not starting??
i have a 87 760 turbo intercooled and it has close to 300 thousand kilometers on it and all of the sudden today i was driving and the car stalled out and would not start
after about 10 minutes it started up again? and like clockwork every 5 minutes i would go through the same thing?
no matter what speed whether driving or sitting> it would stall out??
any ideas?
and i know nothing about how this car works? im a Vw guy and bought this car off a customer as a good deal? so any help would be great!!!!

Make sure you have injector pulse.
Also one time try unplugging the Mass Flow and see if it starts if it does then the Mass Flow is bad.

how do i check for injector pulse??
and the car is running fine today? ran it for 45 minutes at idle, then drove it around for a bit?
and the maf sensor on top of the air box> if it was working properly --if i unplugged it while the car was running it would run really bad and rough right?

o and when this was happening, i would lose all power, like i would hit the gas pedal and it would just bog down??

The rough is normal.
But if the Mass Flow is bad then when you unplug it the computer goes into Limp Home mode. This makes it run so you can drive it for a few.

i tried starting it and it wouldnt start!
then i unplugged the maf and turned it over and had to give it gas to start- but it did start?
now would oil pressure have anything to do with this?
oil is coming out of the oil cap. and the dipstick is coming out??

could this problem be the ignition coil?
i mean you'll be going. or even this morning in the drivway! just idleing, i put it up to 3000rpm and then it just wanted to stall out. as soon as i let off the gas it would slowly/maybe come back or else stall.then it wouldnt start, so i would tap the coil and it would all of the sudden go(with a lot of hesitation)
