Default 960 issues-plural

I have 3 issues going on with my wife's 960:1st one is fuel gauge isn't registering correctly. I filled it up completely but it only registers 1/2 a tank.I just had the o-rings replaced because of a fuel leak so I thought maybe they didn't fix it but when I filled it up, still only registerd 1/2 tank and then went to full and then to empty and then back to 1/2 full.@nd is the upshift arrow on dashboard. I replaced the pnp switch and it went off for a day but now it's back on and the w/s/e light only flashes on the W now but before it was flashing on the W/E. What could be the problem? Ns finally, Check engine light has came on.It's a 95 so is there an OBD2 I can check? My sister's neighbor has a Volvo and a device to read the codes but I don't know if this model has the place to plug his device into. And if not, how do I check the codes? Thanks for any help that can be provided.

Not sure about your #1 issue. Maybe you have a bad fuel sending unit. Get one from a junk yard and see if that solves your problem.

#2 Not sure about that problem but it will toss a CEL.

#3 You do have a OBD-II port, ALL CARS built after 1995 had to have them, it's the law. The port is located just to the right of the hand brake, the cover slides to the middle and the port is under it.

OBDii was started in the '96 model year, so you have OBDi, you can retrieve codes from the front fender under the hood.

The PNP switch has a slotted hole for adjustments, and maybe all that is needed is some fine tuning?

Where were these orings that were replaced? On the fuel tank? It could be that the fuel stalk in the tank has not been correctly seated?

I actually had a '95 that had an OBD-II port. As you know a lot of '94 850's also have them.

I know next to nothing about other model volvo's, I do know that the '95 960 was OBDi, because I have the green Volvo fault tracing manual and it ends thru the '95 year.

I always felt back then that the 800 series got all the attention and the new bells and whistles. I just did not like front wheel drive at all.

My '95 960 is OBDI, check codes under the front bumper. OP, does your 960 have the smog-air pump/catalytic converter primer?
