Default 960 panel illumination out!

Hi there

I've got a problem with the illumination of instruments, switches, controls, etc in my 1991 (92 MY) 960 3.0.

Dashboard is in pieces at the moment! Please help if you can.

All lights with the exception of the front ashtray and the seat belt locks suddenly went out. These seem to have a different ground route than the others. My wiring diagram shows a brown/black cable running to 'CONN AT RLY UNIT' which I assume is either a relay or a busbar at a relay location. But I find no mention of a relay for this circuit, nor can I find this on the car (or even where the various brown/black cables from each light come together) - they just dissapear into the loom, never to be seen again.

I've done a fair bit of testing and the problem does seem to be with the ground (-'ve) side.

Anyone have experience of this problem or this circuit?

Cheers

Jules
