Well my 192 960 has hit 220k and is running awesome. There is only one concern i have. When accelerating from a dead stop i can feel a shudder coming from the rear end (i think its the rear end). Its only shudders for maybe the first 15-25 feet i accelerate. Its not getting any worse as i add the miles on, but it is getting a little annoying. Just wondering if this a common problem and what it might be.

 

Usually that is from a worn/misaligned driveshaft carrier.

It is the bushing/bearing that is mounted to the plate in the middle of the driveshaft.

 

Thanks ill have to check that out at work one day. I would think that would cause a shuddering at most speeds though, instead just a few feet or so. Either way ill check it out. Thanks again.

 

Also look good at the angle of the driveshaft at the mount.
I have had to adjust the bracket with washers to stop the shuddering.
I installed the washers between the plate and the bearing assembly.

 

Any new news on the shuttering problem ? As I have the same problem though it also happens particularly when going up hill from a stand still, it feels as though the rear end is going to fall out.

 

Mine does it too when I really get down on it hard, especially in the rain......
