Default 960 Vents are sleepy!

'95 960 - All vents are open all the time. No zones can be controlled using the Climate Control. Is this a bad Control, a bad Solenoid, or what? Any ideas? These parts are $$$ and I don't want to just spray money around.

Are you able to change speeds of air-blow?

Control Climate control units are known to be defective -- some solder joints crack and units no longer work right. The 2nd part I would check is the Vacuum Controller (under the glove compartment). Search here for threads lately with how-to's and photos.

I found 1 of these 2 valves defective (see link below), it would allow flow in both directions, also the hoses had deteriorated. This may or may not help, the valves are not pricey and easy to replace.

Good Luck and post back with your findings.
