960 volvo -wont start

insert key-engine does not turn over--flashers acitivated--flashers quit blinking after about 3 minutes

previously engine would not turn over, wiggled shift lever and started, now this

Dead battery? Corroded battery connections? Gear selector (PNP switch)

I would start with the battery. If it doesn't have enough volts, it will not crank the motor. As for the gear selector switches, you can go here:
