Just acquired another Brick..and this one has a sticking starter solenoid..previous owner didnt tell me about it ..Luckily the solenoid can be unstuck by tapping on it with a piece of wood...then it will start right up. otherwise its turn the key and you get battery but no juice to the starter..not even a click...
So obviously its time to either repair or replace it...which I'm unsure of... but most likely replace...
There doesnt seem to be alot of room to work on it let alone access to it...I may leave this one to my Volvo guy...

 

Well it turns out the car wasnt driven much the past 2 yrs and only has 88K original miles!... as such the starter solenoid was a little sticky..But from daily useage now the starter solenoid has been behaving properly... She s' lookin like a $5000 car...

 

Those were exceptionally nice cars and we sold several of them. They were never as popular as the 940 though.

 

Prolly because the 960/S90 was their flagship model...I love the inline 6 engine.so smooooth..BTW I have the window options sticker page ..with dealer prep the final price was $36000
