Hello All,

I have a 1996 960 that need a alternator. I'm charging my battery every night so I can commute to and from work. Is it hard to install myself ? Will I need special tools or equipment ?

Not the wrong forum this is the 260/760/960 forum.

It is time consuming to replace it. There is one bolt that is kind of a pain.

To make it easier I remove the air box. Then remove the power steering pump and set it where the air box was removed from. Then you can work on removing the alt. The metal bracket on the front comes off with the bottom bolt for the alt.
