Default A/C not blowing cold air under acceleration....

Have a 95 960 with 133,000 miles on it. Last summer noticed that the A/C would not blow cold air under heavy acceleration. Fan would blow but just not cold air under heavy accerlation. Took to local shop and they repaired it by plugging some sort of vaccume hose under dash. Now, this summer have same issue.

Can anyone explain and tell me where this vaccume hose is so I can check it or any other repair that would fix my problem.

Thanks

the A/C would not blow cold air under heavy acceleration.
The system is designed to cut off the AC under heavy engine load but it should come back on when you return to normal acceleration.

Under the dash you should have six vacuum pipes for the AC:
1. Colour Grey for the water valve.
2. Colour Orange for the recirculation.
3. Colour Red for the vent shutter.
4. Colour Transparent/Beige for the bi-level valve.
5. Colour Blue for the defrost.
6. Colour Yellow for the floor shutter.

One of the vaccum bellows is bad causing the vent to drop off under acceleration.
They are a major pain to replace.

Most people just plug off some of them at the vaccum tree.

Where is this vaccum tree located?

Under the dash on the passenger side behind the glovebox.
When we have to plug them off we cut the little ball off the back side of a rivet. Then slide it into the hose and plug the lines back in.

It would help if you have a vaccum guage/pump to test the hoses one at a time.
