Exclamation Cam Bearings

Does anyone know anything about how the cams are set up as in the bearings and such? I'm in the middle of replacing the head gasket and the moron that ripped me off on the car trashed the upper end of the valve train. The only major problems i'm having right now is whats missing around the cams. I found the intake cam was just flopping around in the back from nothing holding it but the valve cover itself. The front have bearings but the rear is hollow with a half broken cam sensor on the exhaust side. The guy bent the bracket holding the wiring to the cam sensor and such and left the cam plug loose on the intake side. Like I said the engine and head themselves will be fine no major warping or scoring was found. Just getting it back together with parts that were already missing will be tricky. Any advise or even pics would be great! Oh btw the head gasket was blown out on every cylinder and it was running?!?!?

There are no bearing for the cams, they ride in the aluminum between the lower head and the upper head. There are seals on both ends of the exhaust cam, and sometimes just one on the front end of the intake cam, the cover can serve as a seal for the rear.

I have a reconditioning manual that covers the head with photos, but will need to have an email address to send it to, it is an
8 meg file.
