Default Cam timing tool for use on 960

I own three Volvos: a 960 (97) and two 850s (94 and 1996)

All three need timing belts and two (one 850 and the 960) need serpentine belts. I know that a serpentine belt tensioner tool will make replacing the serpentine belt easier.

I also need to know about the cam locking tool.

Owners of 850 have the one which is four rods coming out of a metal plate. I believe it's made by IPD. I also need to know if this same tool will lock the cams in the 960 motor to make timing belt changes on the six-cylinder easier.

Can Anyone confirm that this tool is a good one to get for the 960 engine? It would seem that it is, since it is a close relative of the 960 motor.

Thanks!

you can do the job without the locking tool - just align everything up, dab some paint, and have at it. The tool might make it easier for later models with VVT hubs
