I have a left side nozzle which has a broken flange on one side which normally snaps it in place and holds it flat, so mine is not pointing correctly. While looking for a replacement (and I did find exactly one on ebay and one at IPDUSA.COM haven't ordered yet), I happened upon a site which showed an upgrade on a newer Volvo maybe a V40, where someone swapped in nozzles with more of a misting spray pattern.

It got me to wondering, is there another spray nozzle designated for another model or even another make of car, that is compatible with the opening in the hood and which could be snapped in place of the original?

It was surprisingly difficult to find suppliers for a 960 nozzle. I Googled Volvo 960 windshield washer nozzle and I got a lot more results for a 940 and others than for a 960. And even though pictures for the nozzle for say the left side of a 740 and a 940 and a 960 all appear to look identical, I don't find where they are listed as being the same part. Kinda surprised me.

That's another question, do the nozzles for a 740 and/or a 940 and/or a 960 all fit the same opening?
