Hi I have hired a car whilst away on holiday it's a brand new Volvo s40 and I used the windscreen washers for the first time today (after having the car for 3 days) and three surface cracks/deep scratches have appeared on the bonnet going away from the Middle nozzle in a star like fashion . Can anyone help me with this, is it a fault with the car or should I call the hire car company to compain.

Are you sure they weren't there before?

 

No not when I collected the car from the place. It is somewhat worrying as they seem to be cracking around the other ones as well. Have you heard of it before
