Hi all, I have a few questions about my 1992 volvo 960 wagon 6 cylinder 365,000 km on Odo

1st question:

If I try and start the vehlicle but then stop for some reason( what I mean by this is crank it over but it dosen't start) it will fluid itself what should I check first.( do the non turbo motors have a cold start valve?)

2nd question:
should there be oil puddled in the bottom of my intake? This maybe causing or related to my fluiding that is why I would like to know. I have been a mechanic for 10 years but have never worked or owned a volvo and I can find any info about this, so I hope someone here can help.
