Does the 960 with AT really need a parking brake?

Does the 960 with AT really need a parking brake?


That's what I wonder. Mine makes noise like something's scraping. Why bother? I have an AT and the city streets are pretty level. Why not just remove it?


Anyone done that?

Nope, have never considered removing a parking brake. Have you tried to adjust it?

Well, it is also the emergency brake, so no, you should not just remove it.
