Default Hood Not Closing

The passenger side of the hood will not close all of the way, I generously lubricated the hinges on both sides and it did help but it will not go flush on the passenger side. The drivers side is fine and both of the hood locksfunction andhold the hood when closed but I can not get the top corner to go down. Any suggestions would be appreciated not a major issue but starting tobother me.

Default RE: Hood Not Closing

I had the same problem with my 960 when the gas station attendent forgot to latch my hood and it flew open on me while driving down the freeway, it never closed properly on the one side. When i got home i oiled everything up and it still didnt do anything. however if you look at the bolts on the hinge that hold on the hood, loosen them slightly (there are 2) and push down on the hood so that its at the bottom of the grooves where the studs go thruogh and tighten thme in that position....
let me know if that works....

I kind of blocked it out but I did try to loosen and adjust the two bolts you refer to with no success. I wiggled the whole hood and noticed that there is a significant play in the whole hinge, the section that goes under the windshield, but can not see a bolt in there or feel one as it is difficult to see and access. I think that is where the adjustment needs to be made if there is anything to adjust. It looks as though the wipers and the plastic cover that spans the windshild need to come off.
