Airshocks or coilovers for '97 960 Wagon???
Hello, I am new to this Forum but a long time Volvo driver.
I need help finding a pair of airshocks or coilovers to put on the rear of my '97 960 Wagon (non-Nivomat) which sags with even a moderate load. For years, I have used the car to tow my boat which it does very well, except for the drooping rear end which seems to be getting worse. Somebody out there (Mr. Tech?) must know what will fit and work for this application. It is a common problem.
Please help! I love this car and do not want to replace it.

That's right. It has a single transverse fiberglass spring thsat costs about $400 and must be a bear to replace. I am not sure whether it has weaken over 11 years and 155K miles and whether replacing it would solve the problem. I am hoping that a pair of shocks with coilover springs or a pair of airshocks would bea cheaper and perhaps better solution.
