Default How to test lock up solenoid?

So I've traced all the wiring on my 1994 Volvo 960, new pnp new speed sensor. And no dice. So I ripped the pan off and removed the solenoids. All the solenoids click when Hotwired and read specified resistances. But the sl solenoid aka lock up solenoid doesn't click nor does it read any resistance. Does this mean it's bad? If so, can someone please tell me where to find one I've looked everywhere.

I'm sure you know this but, man are those things hard to find! I searched eBay to no avail, FCP and all the rest. My last resort was to buy a used trans with solenoids still attached. Difference is that I have a 97' 960. May be that your solenoids are easier to find than mine. Fortunately the transmission turned out not to be the issue. Good thing (on a number of fronts) because no one could tell me how to test them. Hope in the end you're as fortunate as I was.
