I am getting a howling noise that I think is comming from the front passenger side of the car. The howling noise does not happen all the time and I can not reproduce it at will.When it does happen it is usually while on the highway or coasting down an off ramp. If it happens while coasting down an off ramp as I slow down the howling lessens and when the car stops the howling stops. The car is a 1996 960 with 97k miles. Could this be a wheel bearing going bad (I've heard that can cause a howl) or just random wind noise? Any ideas? Also, I recently put the snow tires on the car and I still get the howling noise soI don't think the tires are the issue. Thanks for you help.
