Hi,

I have a 1990 Volvo 760 Turbo wagon. The transmission dipstick was missing when I got it. I acquired a "universal dipstick," but I need to know what length to adjust it to. It is an AW71 automatic transmission. Could someone who has this model of transmission please measure it and let me know how long it is (the part that actually goes down the tube, that is)?

From the end of the stick to where the top rests on the metal tube is 18 1/4"
From the bottom of the stick to the top of the "Full" section is 3"
