A lot people have swaped from auto to manual....welnot sure how many. There are some writeups on turbobricks.com which will help you along the way.
Actaully, the M46 wont handle much power, that is why some of the people convert to a T-5 trans or a Getrag trans. You can find adapters for both of these transmission on RSI or Kaplhenke Racing.
