Well I Spent the day tracking down the harness for the volvo so i could put my clarion deck in. I Connected all the wires and just when i expected to hear music.... I heard nothing. I double and triple checked all the wires and have no idea why it wont work. The speakers are fine and up until the change everything worked. Got any ideas of what might be the cause.. Ive looked through lots of forums and i cant find anything. please help!

Does the car have a factory amp?

 

I dont know. It has this little box thats for a cd changer. But i dont htink i saw an amp? I saw in some forums people talking about that, and you have to wire around it or something>?

 

On the back of the radio should be a port that an amp cable plugged into if you had one.

 

No there was nothing plugged into the "amp" spot on the deck. The anittheft thing is only for the factory stereo right? it has nothing to do with my new stereo not working correct? I dont know why it wont work, the new deck powers up and plays but the speakers just dont work

 

e only thing it has is this fm modulator/cd changer box thing

 

Maybe something with the speaker wires is wrong from the harness you got.
The anti theft is only with the OEM radio.

 

Yeah i dont know. I mean Ive tryed everything and had a few friends look at it and nobody can figure it out. I suppose ill just take it in somewheres

 

Sorry if I had a 960 wiring diagram I would post it then you can compare it.
