Default please help with 87 760 sunroof leaking

alright everybody. so it was pouring all day. get in my car to go to work. everything all dry and perfect. i start driving, and all of a sudden i get water pouring in from the front right of my sunroof. i mean its just pissin a stream right down on my passenger seat. im on the highway, try to open the sunroof sliding back, to see if maybe somethings cought in it. and it moves an inch, and thats it, and then just gets stuck on something. so i close it. get to work, and all of a sudden it decides it wants to slide open all the way for me. the headliner on the sunroof is pretty bad, im replacing the headliner in the entire car soon. my thoughts were that maybe some how some of the fabric got cought in the tracks, or something, preventing a seal? i have no idea. ANY help at ALL on this is so greatly appreciated...thanks in advance. its an 87 760 turbo

I thought I answered this already. The seals in the sunroof do not seal the area from water. You likely have a clogged drain. Open the sunroof and look in the corners to make sure the drain holes are clear. You can even pour water in them to make sure they drain.

For me it was cracks in the rubber seal surrounding the glass plate. Thought it was clogged drains but it wasn't. Ended up removing all the carpet, seats, and headboard but in the end a $5 tube of silcone gel fixed it, just applied it around the edges.

The seal is usally a slow leak, the gushers are usually water puddeled up in the tracks because of a blocked drain.
