I am new to the board and just bought an 89 760 Turbo....got it cheap...but needs lots of work...so Iwill probably be posting here allot...if this is the best place to get answers...

My 1st question is:

Both power seats do not work...nothing happens at all, seems kinda strange for them both to be out......is there a relay or something that could be killing power to both seats? I have already checked the re-settable circuit breaker and it is fine...

Are there any online parts diagram anywhere?
What about wiring diagrams online......has anyone tried the Alldata site for diagrams....I hate to buy a subscription and it not have what I need.....

How hard are the motors to replace in these cars?....Mine has problems....I might just replace it since it has some many miles on it.

I have a 940 Turbo wagon . The power seat was dead until I cleaned the switches with electrical contact cleaner and lube . Works great now .

 

I forget exactly which years but some of them both seats are tied together.If one seat switch goes bad the other seat will stop working.But yes I would try cleaning the switches first.

 

When some one drove my 93 960 they moved the power seats up, now when I try to move them back, only
one side of the seat moves. Both seats go a inch or so, but at 10 to 15 deg. and then stop. any help on what the fix might be ?

 

Sounds like one of the Cables are bad. Or something stuck in the tracks.

 

i've got a 97 v90 doing the same thing with the seats....how hard is it to change these "cables"?
