Default Problem with rear windows on '95 960 wagon

So, ever since I've owned this car, it's always seemed like the rear windows (both of them) would sort of bind on the way down. They will only go less than halfway down, not sure how far they go down when working correctly. If you run them down as far as they'll go, when you go to run them back up, they flop back to level like they're supposed to be, and go back up like normal. Just peeled back the foam covering, and this is what I found:

Also found this broken plastic piece, along with a broken in half plastic washer, just hangin out behind the foam:

Can anybody tell me what that is, what it goes to, and if thats a broken piece of something else or not? I'm trying to figure out just how broken my windows are, and if it's going to be easy or inexpensive to repair. Thanks!!

That looks like the piece of plastic that the window is suppose to be tracking on. It may fit back into the door slot. I'll try to remove my door panel tomorrow to take a pic for you.

Hey Ken; I apologize but I simply have not had time to take the door panel off my 960. It has been sitting in my garage with the hood open for over a week, waiting for me to connect a vacuum elbow, which I have sitting, brand new in my 850 armrest.

Maybe you can pull the door panel off of one of your other doors to see what it looks like. If it's not any better, post back and I'll take some extra time to tear into mine.

OK, so I made a video today of whats going on inside the doors. Looks like the motor/regulator is moving around all over the damn place. Take a look at the video. It appears that it's all riveted together, and I don't see any bolts/rivets missing. Is this simply a worn out regulator, or some other issue? Just hard to believe it's happening to both rear doors, and not the fronts. Has anybody else experienced this issue? Thanks!!

It sounds good just pushes the metal on the door skin out when down. Couldn't tell that anything else was going wrong. Again, I'll try to remove my door panel this weekend to see if I see anything in my panel that might help you. Was everything else in place?

Let me start by posting a pic of how far my window goes down.

NOBODY has EVER seen this issue before? I find it hard to believe that it's BOTH of my rear door windows having the same problem for it to not be a common issue. Please guys, I'd really like to get my rear door panels back on soon

Here you go man. I haven't rolled the window down for a while. When it first started going doing it sounded like sand was in the tracks. Then about 1/2 way down it slowed, then finished where it is now. The other side went down real smooth. Stopped at the same spot. When I rolled this one all the way up, it clicked & stopped.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Ya, my windows don't go down anywhere near that far - as I stated, mine are less than halfway down when the doors bow out like they do in the video and it stops.

Am I looking at simply bad regulators?

I'll try to pull a door panel today. Not sure what or how that can help you but we'll see.

Ken, I went out 2 my car & it was DEAD. I forgot to turn the car off last night and left it on for about 20 hours. Not to mention that I haven't driven it for about 2 months. I had to run so i'll have to check it later. And maybe barrow my neighbors battery charger.
