Questions about a 87 760 turbo HELP
I'm looking at a 1987 760 turbo. The car has around 130,000 miles I believe. There is some light body damage, and the interior is faded and cracked. The biggest problem is however that the car does not start. The guy said (on the phone) that it doesn't get fuel. He replace the fuel filter and pump to no avail. My question is, what might this problem be and what would the car be worth as-is? He claims to have just put $900 into it. He's asking $1000, but I wouldn't pay that much on something that doesn't run. What expenses might I run into? Any help would be amazing.
Thanks,
Jeremy

The problem answering this question is that there is no history behind the failure to get fuel. It could be something quite simple like a relay or it could be more expensive like a control pressure regulator.
My mainquestionif I werelooking at this car would be "Does the engine really work, or is it just a useless lump of metal?" Without starting it you will never know.
My best advice isto steer clear of it.
