Rattling Brakes

I have an '88 Volvo 760. I recently had the brake pads and rotors replaced and immediately, my brakes started rattling when I drive. The rattling stops when I bit the brakes. I was told to try backing up and hitting the brakes, but it didn't seem to help at all. I was also told that this is a common problem w/ older Volvo's and I need to have someone put some lubricant spray to muffle the rattle. Anyone know anything about this?
Thanks!

My nephew did it for me and he said it could be that my calipers are bad and since the pads/rotors are new they don't fit well together. He said there isn't anything that could be rattling that he knows of. I'm taking it to a brake shop to have them check it out. However, onhttp://www.thevolvosite.com/760/volv...d-related.htmlunder Brake caliper Hardware they sell 'anti-rattle springs' for front Volvo brakes.Any ideasabout what these are and if they could solve this problem?

Well, did he use the same size pads he took off? Volvo uses several different brakes suppliers even in the same year and this causes problems. Some use extra springs, others don't. Some pads have springs riveted to them and come like that. A shop better check it out for you...
