1997 960 wagon. The remote for the door locks stopped working. I have two transmitters, both worked no neither do. Anyone every have this happen, all other electrical functions work in the car. Where exactly is the receiver located inside the car?

Behind the dash to the left of the steering column. It also controls the alarm, is this working?

 

Sorry it took me so long to reply, no alarm function or lock/unlock functions. I suppose an aftermarket remote access is an answer, it's somehow not the same.

Have you checked the batteries in the remotes and fuse #2 in the passenger compartment fuse panel?

Does the central locking work with the key?
