Hello-
New to the forums and to Volvo ownership. I have a 1990 760 GLE that needs to have the right (passenger side) headlight replaced, the plastic backing where the o-ring attaches is busted. I have the entire headlight assembly along with the fog light. Does anyone have tips or step by step on how to replace this? My Volvo mechanic told me to bring it in and they would do it if I couldn't, but I don't want to pay the labor. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Look for nuts holding the assembly into the car.
It has been a while for me so I can't exactly remember the steps.

 

Does the side marker also have to be removed to make way for the bracket? Thanks for the info.

 

I do believe it has to.
That should be easy to remove.I forget but it might only be held in by a spring.
