things to know for 960
I am considering buying a '96 960 sedan and want to know what to expect and anticipate in terms of ownership, maintenance and repairs. this would be my second whiteblock technically, but my first was a '95 850 which was my first car as a teen - and I didn't know anything about cars then.
i plan to do maintenance and repairs myself.i plan to use the car as a daily driver. it's around the 160k miles mark.
the common things I've come across in my research are mostly random cosmetic or minor feature issues - leaking sunroofs (this one is sealed - i'd like to unseal it and repair so I could use it), electric seat not moving, AC issues. are there any common engine/trans repairs to be aware of?
any thoughts/tips/anecdotes are appreciated!

Buy a 940. 960 are unloved because they are troublesome all the way around, too complicated. Electronically controlled transmission, complicated head, interference motor, nivomat suspension, climate control that rarely works, even the "high security" keys are a pain. And the one you are looking at has a "sealed" sunroof, not a sign that the previous owner took care of it.
