ok in my 96' 960 wagon, the third row seat which faces the opposite way, is stuck in the upright position, i have no idea how to get it back down, i remember when i put it up it made a locking noise, but now when i try to even move it, it doesnt budge.

There is usually a lever that you must push to release and fold down the seat. On my 740 wagon it is near the top corner of the back of the seat. Push the handle toward the center of the car and it should go down.

 

i finally figured it out, i had to flip the bottom of the seat towards the back of the car and then fold down the back rest of it
