Default turn signal staying lit

i have a 96,960 wagon the left turn signal stays lit but the right one works i have checked all the bulbs and they are fine would this be a problem with the turn signal relay and if so where is it located.?thanks for any suggestions you might have

Is this front or rear light? You might have a problem with the grounds at the tailight, if it's the rear one.

Turn the flasher on, and see both lights flash the same way. Flasher Relay is in the engine compartment Fuse/relay box.

Nine times out of 10 it's a bad bulb. You have to pull them out and inspect the contacts on them.

ive checked all the bulbs and they are fine the problem corrected itself and the turn signals are working fine but as i was driving down the road it happened again right signal stays on left works but no 4 ways what is causing the problem

Possibly the turn signal switch itself. I had this happen on the GM steering columns that I've installed in my Datsun & in my Scout. The contacts in the switch itself wore thin & broke off making contact when not on. I'm not sure of the design of the Volvo switch as I didn't pay attention to it when I had my issues with the ignition switch.

So you pulled the bulbs and looked at each of them?
